Got anything to say about the degree program? Or about how GLOBE does things? Or something else? Come to our degree programs feedback session on Wednesday 22.2. at A3-27 from 8:30 to 11.
We will be going through the main points of both GLOBE questionnaire and the TAMK feedback form. During this time you are all free to give us your opinions and suggestions regarding the courses and lectures. Teachers will be also taking part in this session so that you can hear their opinions as well and give them feedback. And don't worry, GLOBE will take most of the responsibility concerning sour and "not-so-nice" feedback. So come there and share your ideas with us. Doing this will improve the degree program as a whole and also improve the connections between teachers and students.

The day to combine our home countries most finest cuisine is soon here. Your task is simple, prepare food that is specific to your home country and bring it to others for a taste. It doesn't need to be anything too special or fancy and especially not in huge amounts (but it can be). The main idea is to see and taste food from other cultures.
The event will take place in Tamko's sauna on Thursday 16.2. starting from 17. The food should be brought between 17 and 19 o'clock. It would be preferable to prepare the food at your home and bring it there, but it's also possible to cook in Tamko. In order to cook at Tamko you will need to inform us so that we can reserve some time and space for you in the kitchen. GLOBE will also be providing some non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. The eating starts from 19 and will continue as long as there is food to eat. During that time there is also a possibility to go for sauna. The sauna shifts are 19-20 for women and 20-21 for men. After that it's a free for all. The price will be 3€ per person and this can be paid to either Tamko desk or at the door. It would be better to pay it at Tamko in advance so there will be less hassle during the event. You are free to bring your own drinks as well, but no glass bottles should be brought, at least to the sauna. Also it would be preferable to post the food you will be preparing at the event, so that we wont be ending up with 7 dishes of the same type of food. More information can be either asked by email ([email protected]) or in the Facebook event. It is that time of year again. First semester is almost done and all of us are eagerly waiting to start our holidays. But before that let's have one more party together with your classmates. On 8.12 GLOBE will be organizing a Little Christmas party at Zarillo for all of you fine folks. There will be food served with drinks and a dress code of smart-casual.
The event will cost 15 € per person, including a drink and the meal, and starts around 20 o'clock. Please go to Tamko desk to register for the event by choosing your desired food. You can bring +1 person with, so be sure to get his/hers name in the list as well. The food and drink are chosen as follows; go to Zarillo's website (www.zarillo.fi) and from there to the "Menu" tab. From there you can see their list of Classic burgers (Klassikkoburgerit). Choose one of the burgers and one of the following drink options: - Soda - Juice - Milk - Beer - Long drink - Sider When you know your burger and drink, go to Tamko desk and tell them your chosen options (also your +1's). Last day for registering is 5.12. You are free to go to Zarillo before 20, the serving itself will start around 20:30. All in all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! European week for waste reduction, EWWR, is an initiative for raising awareness about sustainable resources and waste management. It encourages a wide range of audiences, such as public authorities, private companies, civil society as well as citizens themselves to get involved and reduce waste.
The event takes place in TAMK between the 22nd and the 24th of November. The topic will be about Packaging waste reduction: Use less packaging. More info can be found from the links below. Happy Halloween everybody! <Evil laughter in the background>
This year GLOBE will be organizing Halloween again at Herwood bar found in Hervanta (Opiskelijankatu 1, Tampere). The event will be held on Monday 31st from 20 till the bar closes. You are free to dress up as anything, which we hope you do, and you can invite your friends. Only exception is that you will need to be 18+ years old. GLOBE will most likely be providing small snacks in the bar but drinks are on you guys. There will be a costume competition, where the best voted costume gets a prize, and then a simple raffle with some prizes. There is also karaoke in the back room, which was great fun last year. The event itself will be free from GLOBE's side, but Herwood will require the fee for coat hangers. There will be a name list published by GLOBE in Facebook where we recommend you to place your names, if you are coming. This will just help us to arrange things with Herwood. So in a nutshell, dress up, come for a few drinks and have a chat with the other ENVE's. See you there. The day to combine our home countries most finest cuisine with other countries is coming again.
