Annual Feedback session is here! The questionnaire has now circulated, and the time has come to discuss the feedback that has been gathered. This Feedback session is the official channel to affect your own studies and the Degree Programme. All ENVE students are welcome to join! You have possibility to be heard and to further discuss about your development suggestions. Please enrol by 11.2 at latest, to the chair person (Krista Haapamäki). Please NOTE that you are welcome to join even without the enrolment! But then a seat and a bun can't be guaranteed! The enrolment exists mostly to determine the size of the room needed for the session (H2-27 or an auditorium), and also for coffee/tea + bun serving. You can enrol by writing your name or student number by pressing the button below https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yaC2kz7kTXXVXSKOcF6ITdivOEdihC7ZTyrnhNJ4bpw/edit?usp=sharing
OR, if you wish, you can send email to: [email protected] OR send personal message, or text/whatsapp: 040 8376 292 OR you can just press "Liityn/Join" in this event page. It will be understood as an enrolment, and I will add the names to the list mentioned above. In the official Feedback session there will be Eeva-Liisa Viskari and other ENVE staff members present, and all students are free to, and encouraged to, participate. Coffee/tea and buns will be served. These sessions do make a change: for example, as a result of the previous Feeback session (2014) ENVE teachers will be put into English language test (in 2 years time) and another update is "book club course", which is Mika Nieminen's course Recent Advances in Energy and Environmental Engineering (this also implies recent technology and modern approach to our studies). The place of the meeting will be announced as soon as possible, but it will most likely be either H2-27 or an auditorium. Good evening ENVEs/IDEEs ! A new date has been settled for our excursion: Monday 2nd of March, at 9! On this day, all ENVE students (or the first 60 ones to arrive) are welcomed to an excursion to EcoFellows (Ekokumppanit) company! The presentation starts at 9 in Moreenia -building, on the bridge of Tammerkoski. Meet me at 8.50 on Monday morning in front of Jack the Rooster -bar (this is next to Tammer-hotel). The closest road is Satakunnankatu. From there we'll continue into the premises, where Ilari Rautanen and Antero Mäkinen from EcoFellows (and Rane-project) will tell about the history of the building and about EcoFellows company. The presentation will be held in English and it will last about an hour. The Moreenia building is actually a water electricity facility, although we are not allowed in the room where the engines, turbines and such, are located. You can see some of those from the windows at the other end of the building. The event will be held in the festive hall of Moreenia-building. This is a room with old meters from 1950's and 1930's. Also there are the current meters that are in use, the modern ones. Rane-project that I mentioned is one of EcoFellows projects'. Its main goal is to give advice to mostly consumers but also to companies about the energy efficiency of living and building. This is the project in which I'm doing my practical training now. Possibly you can ask about practical training and summer job opportunities in the event...! Check out their webpage too! http://www.ekokumppanit.fi/en/ BUT: only 60 people are allowed inside the festive hall, so the first 60 to arrive on Monday get into the premises! Regards and hope to see you there, Krista Haapamäki, G.L.O.B.E. chair person PS. There might be 2nd opportunity to come and see the premises, just let me know and we can discuss. |
