GLOBE teaches is a new program to kickstart the sharing of awesome, cool and innovative ideas and experience fellow ENVE associates has to offer. We hope that this light seminar/discussion/sharing experience can be done in a bi-weekly basis To let you get a taste of what it will be, the speakers of this first events are: Teemu Heinonen: Heat recovery in apartment buildings Apartment buildings in Finland, which were built between 1960-2000, have huge energy losses due to their ventilation systems. This presentation will give detailed information about how these recovery systems work and why they are built in the first place based on his first-hand experience. There will also be few examples from Tampere region to give some perspective, with detailed information as well. Adhitya Prayoga: Unit processes in water treatments The term "water treatment" had been too often heard by ENVE students. But do we actually know what is going on and how we treat water from municipal waste into drinking water? What are the kinds of sources and how are they treated differently? AD will share his knowledge he gains from his exchange in Istanbul which would gain some insight on how things are done with a city that demands clean water for it 20 million people.
